I have a bold dream.
It is to create a physical space in my community where we can gather.
Where homeschooling children can learn new skills together.
Where homeschooling parents can come for support.
A gathering space that becomes part of family rhythms.
One step towards that goal is my continued education. And I’m so excited to be starting the two year teacher training program through the Waldorf Handwork Educators .
I always find that come the shorter days and longer nights I’m pulled to cosy up on in a corner and dive into books to feed the soul. Here are some of the books I read last month:
Education for Adolescents – Rudolf Steiner
Teaching Through Stories – Elizabeth Seward
Tending the Spark – Betty Staley
Why Cleaning Has Meaning – Linda Thomas
Healing Stories – Nancy Mellon
The Star Tales of Mother Goose – Mary Stewart Adams
Some of the books listed above are for the training program. Some books are for planning the next term of homeschooling. And some are preparation for my offerings in the coming months.
All are review. And it was so lovely to spend all of December in the pages of familiarity so new could again be grown from the known.
I can’t wait to see what 2024 will bring ❤️
What are you reading?
Until next time,
Marina
