Warmth by Edmond Schoorel

I’ve been waking with the sun these last few weeks. Not by choice, as I tried my hardest to go back to sleep again, ha ha. 5am is early! But this last week I’ve pledged to go with it and see why the day is calling me so early. I have been spending this extra quiet time with our dog on the porch, reading as the sun creeps over the house tops.

My current read is Warmth by Edmond Schoorel. While putting the book down to ponder I fell in love with the way the morning sun was hitting the book, so I thought I’d take a snap of the book draped in warmth.

It is a small book, I’m almost through and I just started yesterday, but it is one so full of goodness I’ll be rereading it immediately to find new nuggets to take with me on our journey.

From the introductory paragraph:

“When bringing up children, warmth is crucial. Parents who raise their children with warm, involved affection are showing them that they are interested in them, and curious about what will become of them. This kind of environment teaches children to treat themselves with warmth in turn, so that when they are confronted with the more difficult sides of their character, they react with the same forgiving kindness their parents have shown.”

The book continues through the four levels of warmth, starting with the physical and it is all such good stuff. Highly recommend it!

Until next time,
Marina
